The Line 6 Ministry

Fronted by rock icon Al Jorgenson, San Francisco Bay area hardcore band, Ministry, has been banging out album since the early 80s and has never lost their edge. In fact, they seem to get edgier. In 1992, their single “N.W.O.” was virtually unavoidable with massive radio airplay and a video on MTV. The band is touring again and guitarist Mike Scaccia is using Line 6 gear both on and off the stage. While playing live, Mike relies on the tone of PODxt Pro, and for practicing he uses the Spider II 30. We recently met up with Mike at the House of Blues in West Hollywood and here’s what he had to say about Line 6:

Where did you first hear about Line 6?
Purchased a POD in 1999 by chance. I was blown away. It ruled!!!

What Line 6 gear are you using and how are you using it?
PODxt Pro rack mount, using delays and chorus. Also a Spider II 30 practice amp. Use it every day in the dressing room. It has a great natural tone.
How have our products changed the way you work?
They use old effects without the noise, and they work with my live and studio sound.

What are your favourite settings on the gear you use and why?
The old delays, because of the lack of noise, and large variety of them in such a small unit.

Any final comments?
Roadworthy!! You spill drinks and spit on 'em and they still f@%$in work, dude!!
