POD® HD FAQ
What is HD modeling?
HD modeling is the culmination of research and passion for producing the best sounding, best feeling amp models possible. During the huge HD modeling project we completely overhauled and updated our modeling technology, found amazing new amplifiers to model, and produced 25 of our finest amp models to date. Each one delivers superior articulation, tangible touch response and never-before-heard levels of warmth, feel and realism.
How is HD modeling different from your previous modeling?
HD amp models contain up to 10 times more amplifier DNA than our previous modeling. Things like single-ended class A tube stages, class AB push/pull interactions, tone stack, and even power supply behavior were modeled with more refinement than ever before. This kind of detailed articulation will inspire your playing on stage and in the studio.

Why only 30 models?
We believe it is better to have 30 inspiring, articulate HD amp models in a wide tonal range instead of large number that aren't as inspiring.

What’s Dual Tone?
Dual Tone lets you create a tone by playing through two simultaneous rigs of amps and effects, all within POD HD500.
