Brutally Candid Tone

Ever since the release of her 1993 classic, “Exile in Guyville,” singer/guitarist Liz Phair has been recognized as the preeminent princess of indie rock. Several certified gold albums later, Liz is at it again, currently touring to promote her latest, self-titled release. Her “deeply clever and brutally candid songs” landed her the headlining spot on the Maybeline Chicks with Attitude Tour, where she was using Line 6 stompboxes DL4, FM4, and MM4 as part of her pedalboard. The new album also featured Mike Elizondo (a Line 6 endorsee), Wendy Melvoin, and Pete Yorn to name a few, and features songs like “Rock Me,” “Little Digger,” and “Fire Walker.”
