Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

**** THIS WAS WORK IN PROGRESS: MY FINISHED ZENDRIVE MODEL IS NOW IN A PATCH CALLED "ZenLike" *************************************** ZENDRIVE Experiment: I don't consider this a complete patch. It's my "scratchpad" to create a Zendrive like OD from within the Helix. There's an FX loop within the patch that I used to swap between my physical Zendrive and my modeled Zendrive. I left the loop in there for those that want to try the same thing on their own. I started with the May…Er May Not patch cleared stuff out of the path 1 to have some room to work. Amp, compressor, and reverb are all the same settings as the patch above. I created a subpath so that I could put my "work in progress in the subpath and then toggle between the subpath and the FX Send/Return 1. I've got a pretty accurate model of my Zendrive put together using the G 800 BASS Preamp ahead of the Minotaur. It sounds like an odd combination but it was the right blend of preamp and EQ to put ahead of the Minotaur. If you go to stomp box mode, there's a "Zenlike" footswitch to activate the OD. I used my "go to" settings on my physical Zendrive and did most of the matching with the drive around 4 1/2 and if you set the Minotaur drive at around 5 or 6 you're right in the game. I could set the gain from 1.5 to 8 or so on the Minotaur and match the gain on the Zendrive from about 2 to 8. ***The G 800 preamp can really be left alone*** I tried to balance the drive, master, and boost of the G 800 to match the character of the Zendrive. I will mainly just adjust the Minotaur drive to taste going forward. Of course, there are no rules, tweak it til you like it and make it your own…EDITED TO ADD: IF YOU LIKE THIS, DEFINITELY TRY MY ZENLIKE PATCH. It's the FINISHED PRODUCT.
