Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

This is an Update to some "simple giggable" amp-based presets that I loaded a month ago. The idea is to have several presets based on common, and iconic amps, each with a Clean, Crunch, Drive, Lead "channel" (Snapshots) and a few common pedal that can be turned on and off with any snapshot. the other aspect of these presets are that they are "split outputs". The main signal path outputs to the 1/4" out, and the level is controllable via the Helix overall volume (big knob) - THIS OUTPUT DOES NOT HAVE A CAB OR IR in the path. this is ideal for folks who use a separate power amp and real cab, or who go through an amps FX loop. I have also been told it works VERY will with the new Power Cab speaker cabinets. If you would like to know which IRs I have used here, message me on The Gear Page, on the Helix Forum, or on the Helix Facebook page, but I tend to use mostly Ownhammer and MBritt IRs. The second output is tapped off after all effects and a volume pedal (Exp2), and goes to the XLR outputs. This level has no control from the Helix other than changing presets or adjusting the volume pedal Ideal for front-of-house direct outs. In these presets, I'm using my favorite IRs, but you can slip your own IR in there or use a stock cab in that block, just adjust each snapshot to get the direct sound you want. I generally adjust while listening to BOTH, and get the PA to sound as close to my own 1X12 cab as I can - YMMV. So, this was built using various guitars, the input impedance is best set at 1M, and I have NO global EQ on for these (I use that for different room adjustments live). Use 4-stomp/4-snap mode, this gives you the 4 "channels" on the bottom row and several stomps on the top. The upper left is always a gain boost optimized for a solo level bump on whichever channel you're on. This particular one is based on the Blackface Twin with a couple of OD pedals for the various overdriven stages.
